My name is JH. Well, that’s really just my initials. My name is really John Henry but I’ve found that JH just simplifies things. I’m originally from Durban South Africa. My homeland, a place that I love. It's a place whose rich lands, vibrant cultures, and diverse people have influenced me greatly.
I’m an Industrial designer by trade, working mostly in the retail marketing sector. Bringing ideas to life and creating a product that solves a need is something that I really enjoy doing. However, what really thrills me, and what I love is exploring the outdoors. Hiking, sailing, surfing, scuba diving, travelling and even catching snakes.

This website is something that I have been dreaming of doing for years.
Living in Africa has provided me with some amazing opportunities - to visit new places, to do new things and to meet the most amazing people. This is finally the change that I have been craving to share those places, things, and adventures with the rest of the world. This website also doubles as a type of diary for myself, keeping stories and exploits safe so that they might be shared and enjoyed again
This is especially important at the moment as my girlfriend and I are about to start an entirely new leg of an adventure. Very shortly we will be moving to Australia, to set up a life and have many more adventures living in the “sunburnt Country” as bill Bryson refers to it
As I mentioned earlier, I’m a designer and from time to time I will also be adding products that can be purchased off of this site. These products are what help to keep us going so if you see something that you like, know that it is going to a good cause.

Trusted Tribe? Well hell, what is Trusted Tribe? Well, Trusted Tribe is a brand that I have created and adopted, and to be honest it's still developing. Essentially, for now, Trusted Tribe is me and my tribe. For now, that consists of myself, my girlfriend (Tamryn) and our much-loved Land Rover Defender.
